US-based medical data portal operator H1 Insights closed a $12.9m series A round yesterday featuring Novartis DRX, a venture capital partnership between pharmaceutical firm Novartis and mobile chipmaker Qualcomm.
The round was led by venture capital firm Menlo Ventures and included Y Combinator, Liquid 2 Ventures, Underscore VC, ClearPoint Investment, angel investor Jeff Hammerbacher and Baron Davis Enterprises, the private investment office for retired basketball professional Baron Davis.
