Amazon, Munich Re and Qualcomm backed the second tranche of Span's latest round, while Associated British Foods helped lift KoRo’s series B to $82.7m.
Fund
Vesey Ventures, an Israel-based financial technology-focused venture capital firm founded by three former managing directors of Amex Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of payment services firm American Express, raised $78m for its first fund. The firm’s founding partners, Dana Eli-Lorch, Lindsay Fitzgerald and Julia Huang, were all managing directors at Amex Ventures for more than six years.

Alexa Fund, Munich Re Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures, part of ecommerce firm Amazon, reinsurer Munich Re and mobile chipmaker Qualcomm respectively, took part in US-based residential electrification technology developer Span’s $96m series B2 round. Wellington Management led the round, which included Congruent Ventures, Capricorn Investment Group, Fifth Wall and A/O PropTech, taking the total raised in Span’s series B to about $186m and its overall funding to $231m.
