Saison Capital, the Singapore-based corporate venturing arm of Japan-headquartered payment services firm Credit Saison, has formed a token fund to back Web3 technology developers, Tech in Asia reported. The unit will invest between $200,000 and $500,000 per deal, with possible follow-on funding also available.
Singapore-based, financial technology-focused private equity firm 01Fintech has raised an undisclosed amount of financing from Sinar Mas Financial Services, a subsidiary of conglomerate Sinar Mas.
Industrial manufacturing firm VDL Group provided an undisclosed amount of capital for Netherlands-based, student startup-focused venture capital firm Round One Ventures.
Funding
China-based semiconductor producer SJ Semiconductor (SJSemi) received almost $340m in a series C+ round featuring TCL Capital, a subsidiary of electronics manufacturer TCL Corporation, and Legend Capital, the VC firm formed by conglomerate Legend Holdings. It was joined by Goldstone Investment, Jade Stone Venture, Shang Qi Capital, Leafoison Capital, China Fortune-Innovation Capital, GLP-C&D Capital, Oriza Rivertown and Oriza Hua Capital. The deal lifted the company’s overall funding to $1bn and valued it at $1.8bn.
