Indian financial services firm Equirus has launched a $25m Equirus InnovateX Fund for seed-stage investments.

Founded in 2007, Equirus is an investment bank that provides services including structured finance, capital markets, wealth management and portfolio management for middle-market companies.

Equirus InnovateX Fund will target companies developing technologies including software, deeptech and fintech. It will invest between $500,000 and $1m per deal in between 15 and 20 companies.

“EIF represents a unique opportunity to foster innovation in the tech sector,” Sadhika Agarwal, an early-stage investor at Equirus, was quoted as saying by Outlook Start-Up.

“Our aim is not just investing capital but in being catalysts for the success of visionary entrepreneurs, helping them create sustainable enterprises that will shape the future.”
