Diego Galvez de Yturbe will expand the venture capital firm's fintech investments in the growing Latin American market.

Diego Gálvez de Yturbe has joined venture capital firm Mouro Capital as a partner leading expansion in Latin America’s fintech sector.
Yturbe was head of LatAm investments at Prosus Ventures, the investment arm of Prosus, a Dutch global consumer internet group. Before that, he was at SoftBank’s LatAm Innovation Fund.
Mouro Capital spun out of Spanish bank Santander in 2020. The VC firm is fully independent of its former parent but Santander remains an investor in the fund. With $400m in assets under management, Mouro Capital invests in early- to growth-stage fintech startups in Europe, North America and Latin America.
In a company release on the new hire, Mouro Capital said it is doubling down on Latin America – “a region brimming with talent, capital depth, and an evolving financial ecosystem.”
