The European Commission is being asked to set up a €3bn fund of funds to support women-led general partnerships.

Recently, the European Investment Fund has deployed a record amount of €12.9bn in commitments to the European venture capital (VC) market.

However, only a single-digit percentage went to female-led VCs and growth funds showing the European VC market lacks women at senior partner positions in funds across the European Union, according to 24 female GPs through the European Women in VC initiative.

My colleague Alessia is preparing her feature on this topic and impact of female VCs on whether femtech and female entrepreneurs will receive more money so do reach out with insights.
