Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund led FreshToHome’s $104m series D round while CarTrade and BRB Banco de Brasília both launched venture funds.

Brazilian financial services firm BRB Banco de Brasília has formed a corporate venture capital fund called BRB Venture Capital Fundo de Investimento em Participações – Capital Semente. The initiative is being co-run by VC firms Bossanova Investimentos and KPTL and it has an initial size of R$50m ($9.6m). It is targeting early-stage companies developing education and training services.
