Nvidia was part of cloud infrastructure provider CoreWeave’s series B round while Dell chipped into cybersecurity startup Halcyon’s $50m series A.
M&A
Video game publisher Epic Games acquired portfolio company Aquiris, a Brazil-based 3D gaming studio, for an undisclosed sum. The corporate had invested an undisclosed amount in Aquiris, which will be rebranded as Epic Games Brasil, in April 2022.
Localz, an Australian last-mile logistics management software provider that counts parcel delivery service Geopost among its investors, was purchased by supply chain management group Descartes for $6.2m. Geopost took part in the company’s 2017 series A round.
Funding
CoreWeave, a US-based cloud infrastructure provider for compute-intensive applications like graphics production, raised $221m in series B funding from investors including graphics processing unit producer Nvidia. The round was led by Magnetar Capital and also backed by private investors Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross.
