Google and Times Group helped boost ShareChat’s latest round to $520m while Animoca Brands has acquired a majority stake in portfolio company TinyTap for $38.9m.

India-based social networking service ShareChat has closed its latest round at $520m, having added $255m from internet technology provider Google, media conglomerate Bennett Coleman & Co and Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek. The round took the company’s valuation to $5bn, and included a $266m first close in December 2021 that featured Alkeon Capital, Temasek, HarbourVest, Moore Strategic Ventures and India Quotient.
