Allianz X helped digital insurance provider Coalition raise $250m while protein synthesis technology developer Nuclera hiked an E Ink-backed series B round to $58m.
Funds
Philippines-based telecommunications firm Globe Telecom’s corporate venture builder vehicle, 917Ventures, has formed a partnership with AC Ventures, the venture capital arm of domestic conglomerate Ayala Group. The deal will involve AC Ventures providing funding for businesses formed through 917Ventures.
Spain-headquartered insurance firm Mutua Madrileña is launching a €30m ($31.5m) corporate venturing vehicle, according to media reports. It will invest from seed stage and target companies in countries including Spain, Colombia and Chile.
