SoftBank led 5G chip developer Eigencomm's $157m series C round while smart bank Seba Bank raised $120m in its own series C, which included Alameda Research.

Funding Shanghai Eigencomm Technologies, a China-headquartered developer of 5G mobile communication chips, raised RMB1bn ($157m) yesterday in a series C round led by internet and telecommunications group SoftBank.
