Movie streaming platform ROW8 has acquired Rad, the US-based Web3 streaming services provider backed by corporates A+E Networks, World Wrestling Entertainment, Disney and Sony, for an undisclosed amount.
Investment banking firm JP Morgan has paid more than $800m for a 49% stake in Viva Wallet, the Greece-based cloud-based payment provider backed by internet group Tencent, in a secondary transaction involving minority shareholders. Co-founders Haris Karonis and Makis Antypas jointly hold the remaining 51% stake now the deal, announced in January, has closed.
Funds
Monoful Venture Partners, the Japanese subsidiary of Singapore-headquartered logistics and investment management group GLP, has raised ¥12.9bn ($96m) for a first close of its first fund, Monoful Venture Partners I.
Reverse merger
ECarX, the China-based automotive computing technology platform developer backed by corporates Luminar, Geely, Baidu, Lotus Group and Susquehanna International Group, has merged with Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company Cova Acquisition Corp. The transaction was announced in May and valued the combined business at $3.4bn.
