Google Cloud bolstering the cybersecurity software provider's latest round with a $50m investment that took its total funding to $713m.

Google Cloud, the cloud services subsidiary of internet technology group Alphabet, has added $50m to a series F round for US-based endpoint protection software developer Cybereason now totalling $325m, VentureBeat reported on Tuesday.

The investment adds to the $275m tranche led by private equity firm Liberty Strategic Capital in July this year that also featured asset manager Neuberger Berman. That close reportedly valued the company at $3.2bn and it has now accumulated more than $713m in funding to date.
