After more than two years leading investments in tech startups, Omri Green is leaving Dell Technologies Capital to become a founder again.

Israel-based Barrel Kfir has joined Dell Technologies Capital, the corporate venture capital arm of US technology company Dell Technologies, as a partner to lead early-stage enterprise and cybersecurity technology deals in Europe and Israel.

Previously, he was a principal at VC firm Vintage Investment Partners for three and a half years, after a 14-month stint at chipmaker Intel, where he was director of portfolio and part of the founding team at acceleration scheme Intel Ignite.

Kfir’s appointment follows the departure of Omri Green as senior director and partner at Dell Technologies Capital. Green joined the CVC in March 2022, working under unit president Scott Darling at the $300m fund. Since then, Green has spearheaded investments in tech growth areas, including the Israeli cybersecurity testing startup Cymulate.

In March 2023, Green was responsible for Dell Technologies Capital’s lead investment in Quantum Source, a startup developing scalable quantum computing technology, which involved him partnering with the company.

With a background in engineering, Green co-founded ICS2 in 2014, a cybersecurity startup specialising in protecting energy plants’ networks. He left the company in 2017 and began his career in venture capital.

In a LinkedIn post announcing his departure, Green said he was returning “to the founder role”, but did not disclose further details.
