Michael Buchinger is joining Rethink Ventures after more than three years with German financial services firm Allianz's CVC.

Michael Buchinger, a former analyst at Allianz X, the corporate venture capital arm financial services company Allianz, has joined German venture capital firm Rethink Ventures.
Rethink Ventures is a Munich-based early-stage VC investor focused on the mobility and logistics sectors.
Buchinger joined AllianzX in 2020 as an intern while still a student at the TUM School of Management. After graduating, he joined full time as an analyst, a position he held for two years until December 2023.
Allianz X invests in later-stage fintech and insurtech startups. It has 25 portfolio companies and almost $2.2bn in assets under management.
