CryptoGames’ new investment unit will look at the web3 gaming ecosystem and the trading cards sector.

Japanese blockchain-based game developer CryptoGames has launched an investment arm.

Dubbed CG Ventures, the CVC will focus primarily on what it calls early to seed-stage startups in the web3 space. It will also look at investments in the trading card field and other areas where there is synergy with CryptoGames.

It has already made 17 investments, including web3 gaming companies YGG Japan, My Crypto Heroes, web3 accelerator Arriba Studio, play-to-earn app Heal 3 and crypto asset management platform provider Lockon.
