Checkr reinvested in the income verification software startup having co-led its seed round just over a year ago.

Argyle, the US-headquartered developer of an employment verification platform, has secured $20m in a series A round backed by identity-checking software producer Checkr.

Private equity firm Bain Capital led the round through venture capital subsidiary Bain Capital Ventures. It included F-Prime Capital, a VC arm of investment and financial services group Fidelity, as well as Bedrock Capital and angel investors Zach Abrams, Aaron Frank, Zach Weinberg and Nat Turner.
