Cogito, which is developing analytics technology for customer service representatives, will use the funding to scale its sales, marketing and customer success teams.

US-based behavioural analytics technology developer Cogito secured $5.5m on Tuesday in a series A round featuring Salesforce Ventures, enterprise software provider Salesforce.com’s corporate venturing unit.

The round was led by venture capital fund Romulus Capital and followed $1m in seed funding raised in December 2014, according to a regulatory filing.

Cogito’s Cogito Dialog application provides real-time behavioural analytics to improve engagement for customer service representatives. The company will use the funding to expand its sales, marketing and customer success teams.
