Michael Lübbehusen, who co-led Innogy Venture Capital for two years, will depart at the end of this year, with Frank Starrmann taking over sole leadership.

Michael Lübbehusen is leaving Innogy Venture Capital, the investment fund backed by energy utility RWE Innogy and wind power producer Conetwork Erneuerbare Energien, at the end of this month.

Lübbehusen joined Innogy Venture Capital in 2016 and headed it in partnership with Frank Starrmann, who will take over sole management of the unit as managing director. Lübbehusen has not revealed any future plans.

The fund invests in renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy storage technology developers from seed to expansion stage. Its portfolio includes solar film producer Heliatek, renewable energy forecasting platform Enercast and materials analysis technology provider Mantex.
