Alberta backs Enerkem fuels

Canada-based power producer Alberta Energy has invested C$3.35m ($3.1m) in Enerkem Technologies, a Montreal-based provider of synthetic gas and other alternative fuels.

Canada-based power producer Alberta Energy has invested C$3.35m ($3.1m) in Enerkem Technologies, a Montreal-based provider of synthetic gas and other alternative fuels.

Enerkem previously raised C$53.8m from strategic investor Waste Management and venture capital firms Rho Ventures, Braemar Energy Ventures, BDR Capital and Cycle Capital.
