Appcelerator, which had raised approximately $91m in funding from investors including eBay, Sumitomo and RedHat, has been acquired in a cash deal of undisclosed size.
US-based mobile app development platform Appcelerator was acquired by enterprise software developer Axway for an undisclosed cash sum yesterday, providing an exit to investors including e-commerce company eBay and software producer RedHat.
Founded in 2006, Appcelerator’s technology enables developers to create cross-platform mobile applications. The company claims its technology helps run apps on more than 350 million devices.
