Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs has exited the domestic assistance provider in an acquisition by Angi Homeservices.
US-based task services provider Umbrella has been acquired by home improvement marketplace Angi Homeservices for an undisclosed amount, allowing internet technology group Alphabet to exit, Fast Company has reported.
Founded in 2017, Umbrella provides a online platform that connects people over the age of 60 with workers that will help them with tasks such as home repairs and chores,
The company operates a membership model that charges customers $20 per hour for small tasks including gardening, plumbing and home organising.
