US-based autonomous driving technology Waymo, a spinoff from internet conglomerate Alphabet, received $750m in extension equity financing, taking its round to $3bn.

The SoftBank Vision Fund I, the $100bn investment vehicle of telecoms conglomerate SoftBank, and VC firm Sequoia Capital China have committed an additional $200m to China-based automotive e-commerce platform Chehaoduo, bringing its series D round to $1.7bn

US-based cybersecurity software developer DivvyCloud agreed to be acquired by security analytics provider Rapid7 for $145m in a cash and shares transaction that will give an exit to mass media group Discovery Communications.

Digital payment provider Stripe raised an extension to its series G round backed by Alphabet. The round is the latest in the payment tech space, which we have seen grow in the past decade.

Several corporate investors backed the latest $250 round raised by data management platform developer Cohesity at a valuation of $2.5bn. The deal is part of the dynamic broader space of big data technologies which have captivated the attention of corporates over the past decade.
