IDG has exited parking locations database ParkMe through an acquisition by traffic data provider Inrix, which paid an undisclosed amount.
ParkMe, a US-based provider of real-time car parking data backed by publisher International Data Group (IDG), was acquired by big data technology company Inrix for an undisclosed amount yesterday.
Originally founded as Parking in Motion, ParkMe enables drivers to find the closest car parks based on criteria such as disabled spaces, opening times or the availability of an electric car charger, and offers price comparison and the ability to reserve a parking spot.
