UK-based communications company WPP is joined backing the emotion measurement business by Horizons Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

The online marketplace for heavy equipment's shareholders are venture firm Accel Partners (19.2%), y Caterpillar (9.63%), Komatsu America Corporation (7.4) and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (19.2%).

Venture firm I2BF Global Ventures is managing the resources, water, and agriculture nanotech fund.

The Series B round comes after BioData has grown its subscriber base to more than 40,000 researchers.

SAP Ventures and Comcast Ventures were joined in the round by venture firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which led the fundraising, as well as venture firms Accel Partners and a large unnamed institutional investor.

The digital postal mail services company takes its total raised to $28m in its third round of funding.
