The makers of gunshot locating software ShotSpotter secures $12m round with participation from venture firms Lauder Partners, Levensohn Venture Partners, Claremont Creek Ventures, as well as Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.

GaN power start-up company Transphorm, backed by Google Ventures, closes its Series E round at $35m led by Innovation Network Corporation of Japan and Nihon Inter Electronics Company.

The latest 10 investments by Intel Capital are split geographically between the US, China, India, South Korea and Brazil, and include an investment in US-based content sharing company Box, which recently raised $125m.

The Wi-Fi chip company Celeno, closes its E round at $24m. The start-up company has now raised $64m, from backers including US-based hardware company Cisco and US-based cable company Liberty Global.

Intel-backed cardiovascular diagnostics firm CardioDx raises $58m in a venture round joined by Temasek and existing investors.

"Twitter with a voice" company Bubble Motion, which is backed by Singapore Telecommunications's corporate venturing unit, raises $5m series E round from JAFCO.
