GE Healthymagination, part of GE Ventures, led the D round as a new investor

In September 2010, Hasso Plattner Ventures invested in Panaya's $6m round alongside venture capital firms Benchmark Capital and Battery Ventures, which agreed to acquire financial investor Tamares Group's stake in the company.

US-based website Buzzfeed, which tracks the most shared content on the web, raises $19.3m in its series D round.

US-based 23AndMe, a genetics company backed by the corporate venturing division of search company Google, has raised a revised $58m in a series D round.

Drug company Catalyst Biosciences, backed by Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, raises $13.4m in its latest round. The company is developing proteases for the treatment of a broad range of diseases with a strong focus on hemostasis and inflammation.

CMU-backed Medical robotics firm Medrobotics has secured $33.6m in a series D round.

Innovacom is joined backing the Canada-based mobile content delivery company's round by Summerhill Venture Partners, which was spun out from Bell Canada in July 2007 and Tudor Ventures, the venture unit of the hedge fund.

US-based cloud company ServiceMax, which is backed by US-based software group Salesforce, secures additional Series D funding from Adams Street Partners after raising $27m in November.
