US-based diagnostics company Gen-Probe has backed the $20m series C venture funding raised by Roka Bioscience, which was a spin-off from the diagnostics company in 2009.

Disney's Steamboat Ventures also backed the company's $10m series B last year.

Quid, which provides software which displays information visually, takes its aggregate raised up to $14m, with Infocomm joining a raft of venture capital firms in the series C round.
