Holiday makers and business travellers from China will have more destinations and offers to choose from now that online travel agency, 17u (also known as TongCheng) has raised $82.5m in expansion capital. The corporate venturing unit of Tencent has taken part in the series C round, as has Oriza Holdings and Boyu Capital.

Business management platform Domo raises $125m series C funding from investors including salesforce.com.

VivaKi, the corporate venturing unit of French communications company Publicis Groupe, has invested in a $15m series C round of funding for PlaceIQ. The deal was led by new investors Harmony Partners and Iris Capital, fund manager for Orange and Publicis since 2012. PlaceIQ will leverage the latest round of funding to expand the business and pursue additional growth opportunities.

Japan internet services company and incubator, Digital Garage, has contributed an additional $7.5m in a $10m round to US start-up investor and product launch company, betaworks. The latest funding is part of a larger $20m funding round that was announced in December 2013. Since 2008 the company has raised a reported $47.5m.

Irish digital power controller maker raises $5.5m C1 funding round from existing investors including Intel Capital and Semtech Corporation.

Digital health company Welltok raises $22.1m series C funding with participation from Qualcomm and an inaugural investment from IBM's Watson Group.
