Dutch healthcare investor Jonghoud International and Industrial Bank of Taiwan Management's Boston Life Science fund are new investors in To-BBB's $5.5m B round, alongside existing investors Aescap Venture and Antea Participaties.

Skype, an online phone operator started by entrepreneurs Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, has invested in Rdio. Skype's investment came alongside one of its own original venture capital backers, Mangrove Capital Partners, which is a new investor in Rdio, and Zennstrom and Friis's new investment company Atomico.

BlackBerry Partners Fund, a corporate venturing fund backed by investors including phone maker Research In Motion, reinvested in Neuralitic, alongside venture capital firms BDC Venture Capital, Vertex Venture Capital and Go Capital, while Export Development Canada led the round as a new investor. Neuralitic has now raised $20m in total.

There were 98 deals last month, according to Global Corporate Venturing, of which just more than two-thirds (68) involved US-based portfolio companies.

News provider Xconomy said angel investor Kirby Cramer was also part of the B round alongside Medtronic.

Industrial conglomerate General Electric (GE), energy utility NRG Energy and oil major ConocoPhillips have provided undisclosed-sized tranches of the $300m to launch Energy Technology Ventures.

Venture capital firms MK Capital, JVP, Xenia Venture Capital were also part of the B round for Playcast Media Systems alongside C.Mer.

Cirtas's $10m A round closed in September after two years in stealth mode and it has now raised $22.5m from Amazon and VC firms.

Remgro's Invenfin corporate venturing unit will help Ad Dynamo with its international expansion having previously provided the seed round, according to news provider Memeburn.
