Constance Freedman, managing director of Second Century Ventures, will join the Symform board.

KBS+ Ventures, a corporate venturing unit of US-based advertising company Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, is joined in the round by venture firms Foundry Group and GRP Partners and was also backed by existing investor Neu Venture Capital .

GPT Group, an Australia-listed property company, led the B round as a new investor and was joined by venture capital firms Shasta Ventures, Floodgate and Greylock Partners.

Venture capital firm Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners led the B round as a new investor, alongside InnoBio and Omnes Capital, the former venture unit of local bank Credit Agricole.

Koding announced its first round of $2m in March 2011, led by RTP Ventures, the US affiliate of Russia-based IT investment conglomerate Ru-Net, and venture capital firm Greycroft Partners.

Canvas Network, an online education platform developed by learning management software (LMS) provider Instructure which received $9.1m investment for the platform, has begun offering free and open online courses.

Other investors included Michael Schmitt, former engineering director at search engine provider Google.
