Relayr has secured $23m in a round led by reinsurer Munich Re as part of a strategic partnership, taking the internet-of-things technology developer's total funding to more than $36m.

Stanford's StartX Fund has contributed to a series B round for UBiome, which will use the money to drive recruitment and conduct tests at its clinical lab.

Legend Star, which also took part in the education mobile app producer's angel and series A rounds, has returned to contribute to its $15m series B.

The round was led by Shenzhen Topband and followed a $12.6m series A+ round last year that included Legend Holdings and Mediatek.
