In November, the Optus-Innov8 Seed Program made its first round of investments in 121cast (alongside venture capital firm Adventure Capital) and Venuemob (alongside Sydney Angels network).

The round was led by IA Ventures, according to news provider TechCrunch, with backing from venture firms RRE Ventures, Contour, FF Venture Capital, and angel investment from both David Cohen and David Tisch of TechStars. The company has also received backing from KBS+ Ventures.

Intertrust Technologies Corporation is joined in the round by private investors including Fredrik Astrup, Lars Erik Baustad, Marek Kiisa and Ivar Siimar.

The other investors besides Google include angel Mark Cuban, FF Angel, Naval Ravikant, AngelList and SecondMarket, according to news provider Tech Crunch.

Urban Compass, a local services location service, has raised $8m in its seed round from a consortium including investment bank Goldman Sachs and venture firm Founders Fund.

High-Tech Grunderfonds (HTGF), the German state and corporate-backed early-stage investment company, has backed four local companies.
