Medical company ElectroCore has expanded its series A round to $50m as it prepares to submit its migraines and cluster headaches device for regulatory approval.

Pharmaceutical company Amgen reinvested in the biopharmaceutical company, which concurrently announced a partnership with research firm Servier.

The Kraft-backed medical device maker has now secured $31.5m across three rounds, and will seek to raise a further $7m before its series C close.

The healthcare data security system provider has gone public, but at a price considerably below its $115m target.

The healthcare data storage service raised the debt following a $29m series B round last year that featured Intel Capital.

The computing multinational will launch the accelerator in partnership with Beckton Dickinson, and each startup will have access to $25,000 in funding.

Smart hearing aid developer Soundhawk has now raised more than $11m after receiving $5.5m from Foxconn, with which it has agreed a strategic partnership, and True Ventures.
