Eight financial services firms holding stock in trading platform FXall made partial exits when it floated on Thursday, raising more than $62m from 5.2 million shares.

The mobile commerce company has topped up a series A round partly financed by Samsung and Mitsui to $6.4m.

FXall, the electronic trading platform formerly known as FX Alliance, which is backed by a range of financial services firms, will offer its shares at between $13.50 and $15.50 when it floats.

Independent warranties company SquareTrade is adding Bain Capital to a list of investors also including JP Morgan as it closes a $238m funding round.

The venture capital firm, which uses detailed analytics combined with a co-investment model, has closed its inaugural fund, which was oversubscribed from its $150m target.

IPXI said it would issue its first Unit License Right (ULR) contract offerings this year so private licensing of technology can be more easily traded.

The Intellectual Property Exchange International (IPXI) has been launched after nearly five years preparation after gaining $10m in funding from corporations and universities, including Nasdaq-listed CBOE, parent of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, and Anglo-Dutch company Royal Philips Electronics.

Payoff.com, a US-based website helping users to save money, has picked up another $2m, taking its overall financing to $5.8m.

Venture capital firm Sequoia Capital made up the final member of the consortium.

Bodas had previously spent three years as director of strategic investments at US-based insurer Hartford's corporate venturing and innovation unit.
