URWork, the working space provider backed by several real estate developers, has merged with incubation-focused counterpart New Space to form a $1.3bn company.

Square has reportedly paid $3m for the engineering team of microblogging platform Yik Yak, likely signalling the Renren-backed company is nearing the end of the line.

Microsoft could pay up to $70m for the cloud optimisation platform, which has raised more than $20m in funding including $4m from Infosys last August.

Padlock raised about $18m since inception in 2013/14 by venture capital firm Atlas Ventures and academics Paul Thompson and Kerri Mowen from a consortium including a series A round with Johnson & Johnson and Merck Ventures, and later added Index Ventures and GlaxoSmithKline.

The oncology drug developer has raised $92.5m in VC funding, $11.5m of which came from MedImmune Ventures, the CVC unit that now owns a 16.7% stake.

Oracle has agreed to acquire Moat, which had raised $67m since 2010 from backers including SoftBank Capital, for a reported $850m.

SoftBank, already an investor in Grofers, would look to invest in a round of up to $100m for the merged company, should the Indian online grocery retailers come to an agreement.

Nordstrom and Coppel could exit the online men's fashion company, which is in talks with Walmart over an acquisition that would follow $127m of venture funding.

The logistics service provider is set to float in the US in an initial public offering of up to $1bn that will give exits to Alibaba, Foxconn, Fosun and Cainiao Network.

Cloudera will raise up to $210m in its initial public offering, with existing backer Intel considering buying 10% of the issued shares at half the valuation of its initial investment.
