Microsoft is the latest corporate to join France-based incubator Station F, where it will focus on artificial intelligence technology.

Debeka invested $11m into Ottonova, an insurance technology startup that has now raised a total of $44m in capital from backers also including Tengelmann and Vorwerk.

Digital construction aid AproPlan has raised $5.6m in a round that included Matexi and SmithBucklin, and which will be used for sales, marketing and product improvement.

Woodford Investment Management has supplied approximately $19m for the fund, whose backers include Biogen, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Takeda and Astex.

Bone implant developer GreenBone Ortho has secured $9.4m in funding from investors including Helsinn's corporate venturing subsidiary.

The firm has achieved the first close of its latest fund, backed by corporates including Orange, Publicis and Valeo as well as state-owned investment bank Bpifrance.

Safran Corporate Ventures took part in a round that took microprocessor provider Kalray's overall funding to $65m.
