Hair colouring products, home delivery company Madison Reed raises $12m series B funding led by Norwest Venture Partners and including Maveron.

Bessemer Venture Partners has led a $9.5m financing, backed by Penguin Random House Holdings and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, for Flat World Education to expand its platform in partnership with Brandman University and offer BBA degree courses on mobile devices.

German retailer Tengelmann Group has invested $3m in Asia price comparison site PricePanda. The capital will be used to expand into other markets in South East Asia.

IDG Capital Partners portfolio company LineKong is proving its bet on mobile gaming would pay off for investors. The company has recently raised $80m in a series C round of funding led by Starwish Global.

The Daily Mail Group Information (DMGI) on behalf of its education subsidiary Hobsons has invested $9m in India e-learning company iProf Learning Solutions India, in a series B round of funding. Existing investors Norwest Venture Partners and IDG Ventures India, the corporate venturing unit of publisher International Data Group also participated in the round.

The Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in Beijing China has selected the 19 start-ups that will participate in the fourth Beijing Accelerator class taking place in January. Accelerator Participants receive an average $250,000 worth of resources.
