The Japan-based automotive supplier and safety technology company has teamed up with venture firm Lakeland to pursue a "part corporate venturing, part business development accelerator model".

The corporate venturing unit of the Japan-based mobile games developer backs Vietnam-based online retailer Tiki Corporation, which it says has "the potential to become the top e-commerce company" in its market.

The top executive at the corporate venturing unit of the chemical maker reportedly says he is considering opening an office on the Chinese mainland, which follows the firm opening in Boston this year.

The company reportedly joins L Capital Partners, the corporate venturing unit of luxury goods company LVMH, backing India-based retailer Fabindia, which is more than 50 years old.

The China-based computer maker invests in the Israel-based venture firm in an effort to further target that country.

Cisco has invested $5.5m in the creative-led startup, which will enable users to collaborate on creative projects online.

The diagnostic testing company has pulled in $20m from investors including medical research group the Mayo Clinic.

The telecom company is set to recommence its venture investing in Israel through its corporate venturing arm, according to reports.
