Venture firms Avalon Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Lowercase Capital join the US-based software company investing in the cloud data back up company.

Bob Woods, the former chairman of Switzerland-based crops company Syngenta, becomes executive chairman, while Bill Kirk and Troy Fukumoto have joined the board.

deal was led by Robert Bosch Venture Capital, a corporate venturing unit of industrial group Bosch.
