Mobile operator Digicel backs the latest round raised by the provider of banking for the un-banked, alongside venture firm RRE Ventures and Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together [MATT.org], a US-based non-profit organisation.

Presidio Ventures, a Sumitomo Corporation Company, joins venture firms InterWest Partners, Nexus Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures, backing the US-based cloud computing company.

VTB has reportedly led an $18m series C round for Fast Lane Ventures, which has incubated online dating site Teamo.ru, Pinternet clone Pinme.ru and location-based shopping service Locata.

The digital postal mail services company takes its total raised to $28m in its third round of funding.

On-Ramp said last month $10.1m of a planned $30m round had been raised, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Karthee Madasamy, a senior director at Qualcomm Ventures, says: "Our investment in Big Shoe Bazaar has come at a time when the rapid rise of smartphones, tablets and social media networks stands to greatly influence the way people engage in online shopping."
