US-based Alphabet Energy, a developer of a platform silicon thermoelectric technology, has raised $16m in series B financing led by Encana Corp.

EntreMed last year negotiated an agreement with another investor, pharmaceutical corporation Celgene, to convert the series A preferred stock it holds in EntreMed to common stock.

In August 2011, Innovid raised $9.5m in its B round from T-Venture, Sequoia Capital and Genesis Partners.

Julep Beauty, a US-based beauty brand, has raised $10.3m in series B round from venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, which led the round, and Maveron, which was co-founded by Howard Schultz, coffee retailer Starbucks chief executive.

US-based Click Security has raised $17.7.m in a second round of funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
