Alongside Google Ventures in the seed round were venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and angel investor Mark Cuban.

LearnZillion, a US-based online teaching platform, has raised $2.4m in its series A round from a syndicate of 17 investors, including Social Venture Fund, a student-led fund at the University of Michigan's Stephen M Ross School of Business.

This extension takes the B round to $8m.

The investment came a month after D2 Communications, a mobile advertising and marketing subsidiary of NTT and media group Dentsu, bought 350 new shares from Alfredcore.

Alongside NTT in the round were financial conglomerate Mizuho Capital and venture capital firm Venture Now.
