Switchfly, a US-based SaaS (Software as a Service) online travel service provider has raised $2.8 million in new Series C funding backed by Thayer Ventures.

The corporate venturing unit of US delivery company UPS has led a $3.2m investment in UK courier web service Shutl to aid in their U.S expansion.

Movida Japan has invested Y5m ($2,000) in one of its accelerator programme graduates, ShareWiz.

Lumens, a South Korea- listed maker of light-emitting diodes, has bought 6.9% of Feelux, the listed South Korean lighting parts maker with a market capitalisation of Krw40bn ($36m).

The round was led by Originate Ventures, and also saw participation from existing investor venture firm Point Judith Capital and additional angel investors.
