Bitdefender launches CVC, cybersecurity

Romania-based cybersecurity firm Bitdefender has launched of a corporate venture capital unit.

Bitdefender Voyager Ventures will invest and support the next generation of startups in the cybersecurity, data analytics and AI sectors. The firm will invest across the globe, with a special focus on the Europe. It will invest in seed to series A stage companies as a lead or co-investor.

Startups working with Bitdefender Voyager Ventures will also get access to Bitdefender’s go-to-market expertise, technology and business partners.

Bitdefender has backed four startups including Netherlands-based behavioral and network security analytics company RedSocks Security, which was acquired by Bitdefender in 2018 for an undisclosed sum.
