Pertamina and MDI Ventures are teaming up on a $500m energy fund while Trip.com and Legend Capital-backed hotel brand Atour floated on Nasdaq.

Pertamina NRE, a subsidiary of oil and gas producer Pertamina, is launching an energy fund with telecommunications firm Telkom Indonesia’s MDI Ventures unit with a $500m target for its close, DealStreetAsia reported today. MDI Ventures will scout energy tech startups, while Pahala Mansury, vice-minister of state-owned enterprises for Indonesia, told DealStreetAsia more investors are expected to join.

Legend Capital, the venture capital firm launched by conglomerate Legend Holdings, has raised almost $187m for its third US dollar-denominated healthcare fund, according to a regulatory filing. The filing shows 21 limited partners have contributed to the fund.

Public markets

Atour, a China-based lifestyle hotel brand backed by Legend Capital and online travel booking platform Trip.com, floated on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on Friday in a $52.5m initial public offering, issuing 4.75 milliom American depositary shares priced at $11.00 each. Legend Capital owns a 29.3% stake post-IPO while Trip.com’s is sized at 14.3%.
