Microsoft Ventures, the corporate venturing subsidiary of software company Microsoft, has participated in a $22.5m series C round for US-based business texting service Zipwhip, TechCrunch reported yesterday.
The round was led by venture capital firm OpenView, while Voyager Capital also supplied funds.
Zipwhip’s technology enables users to send text messages from any landline or other non-mobile phone number. The company also offers an enterprise-grade cloud-based platform for mobile and landline operators.
