The communications company backs MySupermarket, which has two million users in the UK and has been growing at 100% a year.

WPP Digital, part of the UK-listed advertising services group WPP, has invested $7m in Dolphin Software, the parent company of MySupermarket, a UK-based supermarket shopping price comparison website.

The investment is part of a $10m round, which also included return backers, venture capital firms Pitango and Greylock Partners, news provider TechCrunch said. TechCrunch added MySupermarket has raised $23.4m in its history.
