Games making hub Finland, land of high-profile games studios Supercell and Rovio, has attracted a free-to-play Helsinki-based startup named Next Games.
Finland-based games developer Next Game has secured a $6m series A funding round co-led by the company’s original investor, Jari Ovaskainen, and IDG Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of IT media company IDG.
Other investors in the round include Lowercase Capital, York Ventures, a recently established early-stage venture capital firm backed by the Gores brothers, Alec, Tom and Sam, and managed by Peter Levin, a digital media entrepreneur and AMC Networks and IDG Capital
