Validity Sensors, a US-based provider of fingerprint sensors, has raised $20m in its series E round from a consortium including chip company Qualcomm’s corporate venturing unit. The round takes Validity’s total since launch to about $100m.
The E financing follows Validity’s push of its fingerprint sensor technologies into smartphones and tablets and the acquisition of an undisclosed competitor this month.
